-Convinces him she is holy by telling her his testimony
-Survived on only one bit of bread a day that has turned as hard as stone during her 17 years in the desert
-Was nourished by the word of God

Saint Pelagien
-Family compels her to get married but she has no desire to
-Disguises herself as a man and cuts off her hair to join the monastery
-Woman near the monastery is pregnant and Pelagien is accused of being the father

Saint Juliet
-Refuses to sacrifice idols to pagan gods
-Is tortured while her child, who is less than 3 years old is killed
