Week 11 Reading A: Great Plains

For my reading, I read the great plains unit. This unit, like the one I read last week, was a lot about the creation of the earth. I think that these are really interesting stories because a lot of them don't make a whole lot of sense. For instance, in one, elk hairs end up turning into sprouting food after it is planted in soil.

At first, it was hard for me to read these little stories that are super short as a storyteller. I was unable to completely dive in and decide how I could write about them. However, since they're all different accounts of creation, I think I could write a cool story about creation as well coming up with my own ideas. Because the stories that are already written are super far-fetched and abstract, there is a lot of freedom for me to write a complex and abstract story. There is also a lot of things that could be created in this story, as most of the creation stories that I have read begin with the earth just being water.
